My Favorite Place My favorite place is my grandmother’s house, and l like to be there every weekend. It’s large and big, almost two thousand meters in front of sea side. Every Thursday, we gather there with all family members. Sometimes we invite our friends to join us there. There is no place like my grandmother’s house. It is always welcoming everybody. It has two gardens, a swimming pool, a long car garage, and domestic animals. I will give you a small description for the two gardens at my grandmother’s house. When you enter through the gate, you will find on your left hand the first garden. My grandmother and the gardener were planting the beautiful trees and plants you have ever seen in Kuwait. Also you can hear the sounds of birds chirping and the sounds of pets. The next garden is on the other side of the house, facing the seaside. When you enter, you will smell scents. Such as; Jasmine, basil, cloves, and sea smell. The house from inside is very interesting because it has a modern mixed with classic furniture. It has a huge classic gate. Then on the right hand, you will find long stairs, and on the left side a wide area and in the middle a round table. In front of you, there is a living room, where we sit together there. It always feels cheerful, enjoyable, and welcoming. Next to the living room, you will find the dining room with a huge long table, enough for almost

We would think that in such a modern and developed world, people would be encouraged to express their individuality and independent way of thinking, but is that really so? Humans are social animals. As people, we live in a countless social structure, placing a strong emphasis on our need to belong and have strong relationships. Because of these needs we often end up agreeing with thoughts or opinions that do not convey our real feelings. This paper will discuss “The Unknown Citizen” by W. H. Auden and “The Nonconformist” by Donald Davie, two emotional and thought provoking poems that share many similarities in which the main theme can be interpreted as humans conforming to society and religion and the quality of life that can be attained by living life with the standards expected from us.…

It is a very delicate issue to talk about physician-assisted suicide. There are two authors that have very interesting things to say about this topic: Ernest Van den Haag with his essay “Make Mine Hemlock”, and Rand Richards Cooper who wrote “The Dignity of Helplessness: What Sort of Society Would Euthanasia Create?” They have very interesting, and valid reasons to believe that their point of view should prevail when deciding if physician- assisted suicide should be or not legalized. They have very different opinions in many issues like the slippery slope argument. They disagree when they talk about safeguards as a guarantee of a legal decision, and they do not agree in the point that it is an individual right for people to choose if they want to live or die.…

As I sit here and observe my object I first notice it’s color; dark navy blue. It’s clear and you can see right through to the inside. It’s dark navy blue color hides the color of the liquid inside. The top is grey like a gloomy day in the rain. I then notice he shape is a cylinder with both ends closed. One end you can open and the other just stays closed. I notice the size of it is medium and it looks very smooth and round. Then I use my sense of touch and grab my object that I use every day. As I pick it up its light weight. It feels smooth and fits right around the palm to my fingers of my hand. My water bottle is like a river. It shares the same crystal blue color of the river. It carries a lot of water that is re used every day. New water or liquid can be added. It makes a swishing noise, It makes ripples as there is movement. It could be hot or cold. My water bottle is also much like a hole. It has supportive sides. It is very deep and can be filled. The hole and my water bottle could be either empty or full. The hole is usually open at the top but also can be closed like my water bottle. My water bottle is a very valuable object that can be used for many things. As I set my water bottle down I notice that there is a lot a straw on the inside to drink the water and a clear top to go with it. I also notice some writing on it that must be the company who made it. There is a also a handle that you can hold it or clip it on to something. I also notice that if the light is hitting it right I can see my reflection in the side of my water bottle. I notice the liquid on the inside is usually clear and is always at a steady level and looks solid until you shake it up or move it. But once you set it back down it levels back down to the same place. My water bottle is like the gym. I use it every day, and it’s a health benefit. I use it to hydrate myself during a workout. It is the same color of the gym’s floors it has shape the…
