Everybody in the counrty has been waiting for him to return, his absence makes it hard for the fans to keep watching the games. But, he will come back stronger and much more skillful than every. Derrick Rose tore his ACL on the first playoff game of 2011, as the game was leaning toward an end. The fans were miserable; not only in Chicago, but all around the world. Some say that it's a hard injury to recover from, and could possibly end one's career. The media has been keeping an eye out for him and updating the fans with his latest recovery news.

Late 2011, the surgery was performed on his knee that reattached the torn muscle and Rose was unable to walk for weeks. Special therapy has been assigned for him in order to slowly make his was back to court and gently practise. His determination has led to vast improvements on the recovery proccess, and mid 2012, he had started to excersie and build muscle without any problems. His teammates also comment on how hard he is working to come back and entertain the millions of fans that have been waiting on him. His type of injury requires patience and commitment, and he is fulfilling both of those tasks.

As of now, Rose is practising with the team freely and is exposed to full-contact drills, which means that the recovery is done. He is not going to play any games until he feels that his body is at 110%, as he mentioned on one of his interviews. It could be next week, or it could mean next season. but, his return is coming closer and everybody is very eager to see the star play again, and make the game much more exciting to watch.
