Knowing how to communicate effectively is an imperative skilled that must be honed by anyone who would like to get their point across the first time a message is given. Effective communication involves many factors, such as knowing what words to pick, and knowing the audience the speaker is about to communicate a message to. Not every person is has the same ethics, morals, and cultural background, and for this reason it is very important to understand effective methods of communication, this way no one gets offended, and the message is received as it was intended by the speaker. One of the most important factors to take into consideration is Demonstrative Communication, which involves things like facial expressions, tone of voice, body language, and so on. Examples will be given showing how Demonstrative Communication can be effective and ineffective, positive and negative, for the sender and receiver, and how Demonstrative Communication involves listening and responding. Eye contact is an effective Demonstrative Communication component as it shows attentiveness and honesty to the speaker's audience, it reassures the audience that the speaker is serious about the message being given. On the other hand if the speaker fails in demonstrating proper eye contact, the audience won't be as receptive of the message being given and the communication will become ineffective. Tone of voice is also just as important as proper eye contact. The speaker should adopt a tone of voice which is in accordance with the speaker's feelings and thoughts. For instance, if the speaker is too loud when sending his message, the audience can perceive this as anger, and the message will be ineffective.
