Benefits of Program
An organization can benefit from a program such as Total Quality Management (TQM) because it allows the organization to create and develop an actual plan that is able to assist them with providing overall quality in every area of the company.   The company has to define what quality is to them and how they think that implementing a total quality management program will benefit their company.   Once a company makes the wise decision to implement a total quality management program, they have taken the first step and now need to take the most important step of the decision and that’s implementation of the program.   When implementing TQM, it is essential that the organization realizes that their customer’s needs are the first priority.
Even if a company has a quality product/service, it doesn’t really hold any value, if it isn’t what their consumers want.   However, it is very important that the company realize that they have to also make their employees happy because we all know that a happy employee means a quality product/service. Once we have concentrated on the company’s overall culture, we are able to focus on the elements that are most important to our consumers, such as value for price paid, fitness for use and support services.   I think that support services are definitely one of those entities that are sometimes forgotten about, but it essential.   No, person wants to purchase a product and then has to wonder what happens if they discover a defect or some other issue. I don’t think that companies realize how it makes a customer feel to know that if they encounter any type of issue with their product/service they will have no issue with returning the product or having it worked on.
