Definition Essay of a Coca-Cola Bottle
In more than two hundred countries countless bottles of the most recognizable branded drink in history are consumed constantly. Coca-Cola is a word that can be said to almost any person on earth and be understood regardless of language. From children just learning to walk to senior citizens who cannot walk anymore, one thing they most likely have in common is the fact they both drink Coca-Cola. Not very often does a brand name replace the name of an actual item, but many people now refer to any soft drink as a “Coke”. Regardless to a person’s favorite drink, it is nearly impossible for them to have not purchased a bottle of Coca-Cola at some point in their life.
The Coca-Cola logo on the outside of the bottle is possibly the most seen logo in the world. The classic Coca-Cola logo on the bottle features a solid red background with large, white, cursive letters spelling “Coca-Cola” across the front. Listed on the opposite side of the logo are the ingredients, nutritional facts, and a barcode. The Coca-Cola logo is so recognizable because the Coca-Cola Company is known as the king of advertising. One genius idea the company had nearly a century ago was to advertise Coca-Cola along with Santa Claus drinking it. For so many years people associated Santa Claus with Coca-Cola, many people believe Coca-Cola invented the image of Santa Claus with big belly, red and white clothes, and a red and white hat. The Coca-Cola logo is an important reason why Coca-Cola is the most consumed soft drink in the world.
The actual Coca-Cola bottle has many more facets than many would think. More often than not the bottle is made of plastic. Plastic is not the most environmentally friendly object the bottle could be made out of, but it is the cheapest. To open a bottle of Coca-Cola one must twist off the red colored sealed cap.
