The Turn Up Is Real……

Tonight, we gone be too Turnt up”. We’ve all heard people use the phrase Turnt up, but what does it mean. It is used to describe a night of fun that nobody will forget. Drinking and partying without a care in the world for one night, they won’t think about the consequences. Turnt up is a phrase used when a person or group of people are getting ready to party or have a good time drinking.
To turn up you need to be willing to have a good time no strings attached, willing to throw your inhibitions to the side and just have fun. I remember me and my sisters went out to a bar, we were going to drink and dance and just have a good time. I’m usually mama bear in these situations, drinking minimally and watching my younger sisters while they get wasted. That night was different I was tired of being considered the old soul of the group. I told my sisters “Today is the day you guys keep an eye on me cause I’m turning up for all of us” they responded with “You ain’t gone do nothing but what you always do.” I got very intoxicated, danced with a bunch of strangers, climbed out a window, and passed out on my kitchen floor. When I woke up the next morning my youngest sisters say to me “sis, last night you were too Turnt up. I barely remember the night, but what I do remember is I threw caution to the side and had a blast, a night that my sisters are still talking about to this day.
There are consequence to being too Turnt up. When people are too Turnt up it can become dangerous. Let’s say that you are partying and having a good time but you don’t know your cut off point, you’re just drinking and drinking and not caring. People run the risk of really harming themselves, you could get into an altercation because at this point you don’t have control of your body, you probably don’t even know what you are doing. So things that can happen when you are too Turnt up:

In the world today, the word “argument” is used on a daily basis and usually carries a bad meaning. In fact, the word is used so much that people often mistaken it’s true meaning. According to the book Writing Arguments by John Ramage, John Bean and June Johnson, there is no universally accepted definition of “argument.” The meaning of the term is rather complex, and it has been remained a controversial issue of philosophers and rhetoricians over the centuries (2). Because of the complexity of the word, we need to examine three important points in order to understand what “argument” truly meant: the misconceptions about the meaning of argument, the features of argument, and the relationship of argument to the problem of truth.…

Frat parties with kegs, red solo cups, and a bunch of drunk college students running around making bad decisions. The college party scene is one that many are familiar with, weather from movies and tv shows or from experience. The depiction of a college party is always glorified, full of consequence-free fun. What is often forgotten is the dangers and the repercussions of the binge drinking that these college students are taking part in. According to the Addiction Center around two out of five college students reported binge drinking at least once in the previous two weeks. Binge drinking is defined by the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism as drinking which leads to the drinker’s blood alcohol concentration level rising to…

Forgiveness by the World English Dictionary is the “act of forgiving; state of being forgiven, disposition or willingness to forgive”. But what does it really mean? That is my question. Is being able to forgive and not forget the same thing? In my life, I have found that true forgiveness is a quality that separates us from other species and it is what makes us human. In order to truly and sincerely forgive, one must, aside from saying they have forgiven the person, let it go and not hold a grudge against that person. Just, as Mahatma Gandhi once said: “The weak can never forgive. Forgiveness is the attribute of the strong." I believe that holds to be true.…

The mind is a powerful device. It controls the way we think and do things. It also controls how much happiness or sadness we have. Famous Russian novelist Leo Tolstoy said, “Happiness doesn’t depend on outward things, but on the way we see them.” I completely agree with this quotation for it is similar to the quote, “Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.” We all see happiness in various ways, whether it being from money or from having family and friends.…
