1.0 Abstract

The research on Decision making under time pressure has established the importance of studying human decision making in the day by day world highlighting, in particular, features that constrain the decision-making process. One of these constraints, time pressure, is the focus of this paper. Mainly studied how time pressure establishes in organization and its effect on human behavior. The search indicates that time pressure affects decision making in many different ways. It affects in increased in the tendency of locking in to one problem solving strategies, selecting less risky options, narrowing focus of attention etc. To overcome or to reduce the problem of time pressure, we have to use decision support system. To deal with time pressure decision makers must try to accelerate the process, increased the number of input option, change the strategies to cope up the situation.
