Step 4 in the decision making process is, making the choice. We searched around for…
There was many reasons I decided to return back to school. One main reason is the fact that obtaining a degree is one of the major personal goals I set for myself. Not completing that goal is unacceptable. When I set a goal to start something or finish it I make sure I do it, so that my girls will see that completing a goal is very important.…
Once I left high school in 1992, I attended the Sawyer School for Business. With class to finish, I found out that I was pregnant and having problems. Because of my pregnancy problems, I had to leave school. I didn’t graduate because I was not able to complete that one class. After, that I had no motivation to go back to school; a decision I always regretted.…
The decision making process occurs daily throughout a person’s life without much forethought. Major decisions need a much more methodical approach to ensure that a problem or issue is addressed critically to achieve the best results while minimizing risk. To ensure that all aspects of the decision making process are addressed, the six stages of decision should be used which are identifying and diagnosing the problem, generating alternative solutions, evaluating alternatives, making the choice, implementing the decision, and evaluating the decision (Bateman, 2011). When all of these steps are applied correctly, the chances of obtaining favorable results are greatly increased.…
We make multiple decisions every day. Some of these decisions are for our personal lives, and some are business decisions. Each decision we make has an outcome, whether favorable or not that we must live with. Some people like to make quick decisions based on their gut reactions and others prefer a methodical approach. Using a step based decision-making process results in better decisions that have a lasting impact .…
The outcome of my decision was that I was stilled employed and she wasn’t. I hated to see her lose her job because she had been there for many years. But, it was the right decision, and I was glad I did…
When I first started out going to school after college I thought that I wanted to be a teacher and so right after high school I started going to school to be an elementary teacher. I quit school because I wanted to move out of my parent’s house and be on my own so I got a full time job. After I moved and got stable I went back to get my early elementary degree. After about a year and a half I got pregnant and had my son and couldn’t go to class in the morning after being up all night with a toddler and then to work so I quit school again until my son got older. My son was able to start school when he was two so I decided to go back to school and get my educational degree. As I was going to school I was also volunteering at my son’s school and that is when I decided I really didn’t want to be a teacher and I was undecided what I wanted to do and I knew I was wasting my money and time going to school so I quit once again. I got a job at a temp agency working for the temp sending people on assignments and after a year the company decided they were going to close the company in my location but my supervisor got me a job at Advanced Radiology Services doing data entry putting in codes in the system. After a few years I realized that I really like being in the health care field and wanted a career in it and I tried to move up doing different jobs in the field but I realized that in order to really move up and eventually become a director I would need a degree so I decided to get my degree in Healthcare Management so I went back to school, this time determined to make it work.…

Decision-making can sometimes be a hard task to complete. When making some decisions it may take you seconds or days. So to not make hasty decisions it is best to make sure you think your decisions out and make sure you are making the right decision. When it comes to that point in your life when you have to make a life changing decision, you should also consider the following: who will be affected by your decision, implementation of the commitment to the decision and different alternatives should be considered.…
I have been thinking about returning to school for many years but marriage, kids and work were my first priority. I decided that now is the right time, with my last child in college and the economy in a slump. When I graduated from high school, all that was needed to get a decent paying job was a bachelor’s degree. Today, a bachelor’s degree is the equivalent of a high school diploma 10 years ago.…
Decision-making can be difficult and disastrous if not thought out carefully. Some decisions once made cannot be changed, and the outcome could change your life forever. Of the six stages of the decision-making process, I, like others, can say I do not use all the stages, if I made my decision using the stages my outcome may have been better that it was. I wanted to change jobs to spend more time with my son and make our lives better. If I had used the decision-making process my decision would have been different.…

If I would have stayed in school life would have been different. A diploma means everything, it is what you are as a person, and it leads to better opportunities in the working field. After working in factories most of my life my body was wore out from the physical labor. So I made a decision to go back to school once again. I applied for college at the age of 29 years old. The list of career opportunities was overwhelming and I had to choose one. It took some time to decide what trade I wanted to pursue and a career that I would like. After one semester of my basics I chose to attend big sandy community college and engage in a two year associates degree as an industrial…
