Introduction
Capital punishment or the death penalty is a legal process whereby a person is put to death by the state as a punishment for a crime. The discriminative decree that someone be punished in this manner is a death sentence, while the actual process of killing the person is an execution. This may be done as an act of retribution, to ensure that the individual cannot commit future crimes, and or as a deterrent for potential criminals.Crimes that can result in a death penalty are known as capital crimes or capital offences. This one is the bill that the government wants to re implement as a law to the Philippines. According to the research, the death penalty bill was pending since the year of 2005. Many say that this is so interesting because the death penalty is one of the most hotly debated topics in the world. Many religions oppose it, although others support it or take no official position. Some modern philosophical theories of ethics disagree with the practice, although many philosophers argue that certain crimes should automatically result in the person losing his or her "right to life." The researcher comes up to this topic because of the many interesting issues that this bill includes. It talks about human rights, if death penalty right or wrong, justice, mercy, forgiveness and many others that are related. The significance of this study is that it can inform us or make us aware that there is a bill that is pending in the Philippine senate now. It also makes you see the perception of the people regarding on this issue, if they feel or think that it will bring goodness to our country or maybe it will help the country to solve a particular problem faced. This study also aims to inform people the cause on why do the government wants to re implement this bill as a law to our country.
