Each new generation that comes around always seems to have a new quality or trait that is different from the previous generation. That’s why all of them are labeled. For example, my generation right now is generation Y while my parents are generation X. My generation, generation y, is the “me” generation which is very different from my parents who were the generation X. We all have differences and similarities, and there usually decided in the time and generation that we grew up in.
It’s hard to tell what generation is used in the drama “Death of a Salesman” but we do know that they have a few similarities between the two of them. Willy is the father of Biff and Happy in the drama. Willy is a big football player and one of the best on the team. He is striving to be good in what he does and he wants to become successful at it. At the same time Willy has to work to support his family, so he is a traveling salesman. He believes he is very good at his job as well and really enjoys it. He wants to make good deals and strives for that, so he can support his family even better. Both he and his son Biff strive to be the best at what they do and seem to have a great work ethic of what they are good at. But, unfortunately, they are also alike in a not so very good way. Both Biff and his father only tend to focus and work at what there already good at. For example, Biff is a great athlete and enjoys football, but he doesn’t like school all that much. This causes him to not focus on it or put a lot of time and effort into it. This leads to Biff struggling to be able and do what he loves and enjoys. The same thing happens with Willy. He...
