Lyceum of the Philippines implemented a good facilities to all Cruise line students to have a better preparation for the students to be successful on their bachelor`s course. These facilities help the student to be energized on doing our projects, activities and homeworks. That`s why Lyceum give their best for the satisfaction of the students and also for the preparation on our future plot. A facility is designed built, installed to serve a specific function affording convience and service. A facility must maintain the its cleanliness and orderliness. It is the most important because cleanliness impacts every phase of social interaction and health. Also orderliness, is the other qualities such cleanliness. Cleanliness and orderliness include such as health and beauty. The most concern of the facilities are the students, employees, and other people. These people should do their responsibilities and obligation in maintaining the facility clean and order.
Statement of the Problem
The writer would like to answer answer the following problems : 1. What are the facilities in Lyceum for Cruise line students? 2. How the Lyceum maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of these facilities? 3. What should be done by students to maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of the facilities of the University?
Significance of the Study
The purpose of this study is to know the importance of the facilities in the Lyceum and the impacts to the students. This study also serves a guide to the faculty, administrative and to the student to know the different facility in lyceum specially the cruise line student.
This study will help the faculty, administrative and students how to maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of the facilities. Also what are they responsibilities and obligations to be done to maintain the orderliness and cleanliness of the facilities.
By defining the problem mentioned, it would be useful ; first to the students that is in cruise line courses to know the different facilities suited for them and how they maintain it clean and order. Lastly, to the administrative and faculty to be the model and guide of the students in maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of the school facilities.
Definition of Terms
Facility – something designed built and installed to serve a particular purpose. Hotel – is an establishment that provides paid lodging on a short-term basis. Cruise - a pleasure voyage on a ship, usually with stops at various ports. Room - a portion of space within a building or other structure, separated by walls or partitions from other parts.
Review of Related Literature
This chapter presents related literature deals with the Facilities of Lyceum for Cruise line students.
According to Ransley and Ingram (2004) a hotel has a bedrooms, public areas and facilities includes the lobby, information, cashier and louge area ; function room areas, business services facilities, front office/ reservation area, pool fitness centre facility, plant room area, main kitchen area includes chef office, room service and staft dining ; maintenance manager office and housekeeping department.
The proper cleaning and care in a facility explain by Hayes and Ninemeier (2004) the housekeeping department maintain the desired cleanliness and standard of a desire facility while the General Manager simply must inspect these areas on a regular (weekly). The inspection sheets developed to identify areas to be evaluated during routine inspection of these facilities. They focus attention on every area affecting guest satisfaction.
