Scope of Project:
This section shall be divided into the following paragraphs. Project Identification:
This paragraph shall contain a full identification of the database to which this document applies including identification number(s), title(s), abbreviation(s), version number(s), Tables, Primary, and foreign keys, and other necessary information. Database Overview:
This paragraph shall briefly state the purpose of the database to which this document applies. It shall describe the general nature of the database – give a summary history of its development, use, and maintenance. Document Overview:
This paragraph shall summarize the purpose, and contents of this document, and shall describe any security or privacy considerations associated with its use. The SDLC (Systems Development Life Cycle) is a conceptual model used in Project Management. It describes the stages involved in an Information Systems development project. The feasibility study is used to determine the upward and forward progress of a project (RDBMS). This is the stage where the plan and budget estimates for present and future development stages of the project. The Requirement Analysis: This stage is critical, and the most important phase of the development cycle/design process. Any glitch in this phase that goes undetected could prove very expensive to solve in the latter stage of the development. Implementation: This is the phase where designs are translated into code. Programs are written using conventional programming language such as C, C++, Java or an application generator. In the Testing phase is where programs are normally written as a series of individual modules which are then subjected to separate detailed test before the system is tested as a whole. This testing is done to make sure that the interfaces between modules work (integration testing), and the system works on the intended platform with the expected volume of data (and a room for future addition/deletion), and that system perform according to user expectation/requirements. It is after this phase that the software/product is then released to the client. Maintenance: After the release of the product to the customer, there is bound to be a form of maintenance of the product due to usage wear and tear. As alluded to earlier, this is the stage where additional information may be included in the software due to company growth, and expansion, and if there no room to accommodate such addition – it then becomes a problem.
