The Art of Ballroom Dance
In the world today, there are many different types of styles and of dance.   Dance is one of the most beautiful forms of art there is.   Dance is a form of expression that helps a person to discover a whole new identity. “The different types of dances and dance styles that are prevalent all over the world are an indication of the popularity of this art form. From the olden days till date, dance has always been performed for social reasons or even for purely aesthetic reasons” (Lad, 2010). The various types of dances are all special in their own way and show case a different out look on things.  
Dance has been used in some parts of the world to tell stories and for religious purposes in other parts.   The most common type of dance around the world is Ballroom dance.   Ballroom dance started out as entertainment for rich people, but has come a long way since then.   There have been many different techniques that have come from Ballroom dance especially in America.   There are ten different styles of Ballroom dance that are recognized throughout the world; however, American style has fewer.  
The ten different types of Ballroom dance found internationally are: Tango, Waltz, Foxtrot, Viennese Waltz, Quickstep, Cha-Cha-Cha, Rumba, Samba, Jive, and the Paso Doble.   In all of the different styles of Ballroom dance, the standard is to be done with two individuals and the male is to take the lead.   These dances are very beautiful and show a lot of elegance and grace.   The Waltz and the Viennese Waltz are dances set to a slower beat of music to showcase the attractiveness of the dance.   Where as the other dances are set to a faster beat and have a lot more movement with the hips and footwork.   The Ballroom Dance called the Foxtrot was named after a very famous actor called Harry Fox.   It is said that the Paso Doble is a dance that is preformed in the Spanish bullfighting.   The Art of these different dances are so energetic, attractive and sensual...
