New Begin
After the summer vacation was over, I went back to school . The new semester began. The familiar campus evoked memories of my first. I still remembered I couldn’t find the classroom and there was a light quiver in my voice, my hands were shaking when I stood in front of the class to introduce myself in my first class last year. In the beginning, I felt uneasy and nervous in the unfamiliar surroundings. Luckily, I made lot of friendly friends and also oriented myself in school over the past year. For me, a new semester means a new start. In the new semester, as a transfer student I still had lots of class to make up. Besides, I gave myself a new challenge. I chose Germen as my minor subject. After few courses of Germen, I considered German was a very difficult language to learn. In studying a second foreign language, I may encounter different kinds of obstacles so I should spend more time and effort into my learning. This is my second years in school and I am a junior now. In the meanwhile, it is my last two years in college. In the future, I expect that I can partake in different variety of extra-curricular activities in the school, give different try and have plans for the future. Also, I hope I can have more confidence in myself at school and try my best to conquer my fear of speaking English in public. After the summer vacation was over, I went back to school . Like before I talked about how I was bummed for the first few months of school because I didn’t have any classes with my friends. I realized that I was perfectly fine the way it was in tenth grade because I was still able hang out with my friends during the sophomore lunch period because we were capable of having off-campus lunches unlike the sophomores this year who were incapable of having off-campus lunches ever again, it seemed like. I was also happy with what I had because not having the luxury gave me the opportunity to meet new students in my new classes. I have made it through the whole year to accept that what I had and have now has been easy and do-able.…

What I felt through reading this essay, I regretted my spring semester in the college. Until June, I was fine and had full of hope and enthusiasm that I would be able to cope up with my work and school. Since June, I started the part time job in the restaurant. At the beginning, I felt so comfortable with me because I earned money, which helped my parents and me a lot. Then gradually, it forced me to commit myself overworking. As I reflect myself now, at that time, I was totally lack of the balance. Mentally and physically, I was at the extreme. Some teachers kindly advised me to reduce the working time, but I…

I think that I challenged myself to receive good grades, and that I have done so this semester. I am eager to find out new or different things that I have some knowledge about, but I was amazed at the things I thought were right with counseling issues that I was completely wrong about. I am sure that I still have a long way to go, and many new things to learn. I feel that I was entirely invested in this class and all the assignments that were given to me. I wasn’t late on any assignments and many times had the assignment finished before it was due. I read each chapter carefully and was interested in each new thing that I found. I always want to do my very best in each class that I take. I returned back to college when I was 40 years old. This was something that I had dreamed of for many years, but was afraid to try it. I thought that I wasn’t smart enough to go back to school. I am glad that I made this decision even if it was many years after I should have done it.…

In relation to my peers, I happen to be occasionally stressed. I am a type of person that needs to have everything spotless and put away, in other words a “neat freak”. Because I have my in-laws living with me I would feel bad if I were to tell them to put their things away or wash their dishes. There are times when I find things that are just lying around and counters are dirty after cooking. This is when I feel stressed because I at the end of the night I am the one cleaning it up. I do understand it is my own home and I need to make the rules clear, this is what I need to work on, speaking up for myself.…

Everything has an underlying meaning that is awaiting to be understood, and life presents us with specific points of reference; and our responsibility is to grasp its…

It was just something I had to write about because I was hopeful and excited for the future; letting my past self, reassure my future self. That it’s okay if I didn’t accomplish what I wanted to achieve as long as I tried. I just came back the day before from a 4-hour drive from home and I was already missing it. I wanted to reassure myself that this class is going to help me and that even if I don’t get an A, I should be proud that I, a first generation college student, finished her first year of college. I was hopeful and still am for what I can achieve and improve in the…

When enrolling into a new class, it is normal to have expectations. I am excited and nervous at the same time. I understand that the upcoming semester will provide many challenges I will have to face. I am excited to see how I will grow academically over the course of the semester. I have strengths to bring to this class as well as weaknesses that I plan to work on during this class. By the end of this course I expect to be able to apply what I learn in counseling and become a better writer.
