AMOLED (Active-matrix organic light-emitting diode) or OLED on the Galaxy S3 do offer the wide variety of contrast ration (darker darks and brighter brights). With OLED the S3 lights up each pixel separately creating this unique contrast. AMOLED screens do not use back-lighting and because of that the S3 can turn off pixels producing very deep blacks.…
