The French have many issues regarding their political policies and structures, social dynamics, culture and economy. An issue of today, that is a big problem for France is Frances extremely high and expansive welfare system. Like many European countries France has an extremely high budget for their welfare system that especially since formation of the EU has been taking a great toll on the France city state government.
The French unlike many other European nations have a much stronger patriotism that leads to an even more detrimental effect on its citizens given the extremely high cost of living in large urban areas.This strong sense of patriotism leads to many factors that cause even more harm when intwined with the other national issues of France. This fact takes a great toll on the revenue and budget of the French government. The weight of this heavy welfare budget of France is not lightened by the fact that much of French culture revolves around a short work week, and a laissez faire work style in general.
