In the past week, in Ferguson, police officers are performing brutality and unfair usage of their power towards the citizens of Ferguson. Citizens of Ferguson are trying to video tape this injustice but they are losing their freedom of press to the police. The police are abusing their power and are breaking the law. This relates to our government since our government added the amendment “Freedom of Press” for reasons such as these. For example, the article mentions that a police officer took a man’s camera and destroyed because the man did not delete the videos he recorded. Also it shows how the U.S. government faces corruption within itself. Back a couple of hundreds of years ago, Colonists fought against the British for their rights and now we Americans are stripping other Americans of the rights our ancestors fought for. How can this government say that we are based on freedom when we are removing the rights of the American people? I am disappointed with the actions of the police, WHO ARE SUPPOSE TO ENFORCE OUR RIGHTS, and how they are treating the citizens of Ferguson.
