Greek| Roman|
The Greeks possessed various types of governments. They had many governments because there were many cities\states in ancient Greece. Individuals who lived in each city had their own governments. Each city\state had their own opinion on what a good government should consist of (Carr). | On the other hand, the people were in charge of the Roman government were called consuls. The consuls were always men. However, Greece and Romans were hard women. They did not give women the chance to reach their full potential. The consuls controlled the army, war, taxes, and laws (Carr). | Greek law and courts consisted of someone being sentenced to death. If one knew someone who had done wrong he or she would take that person to the rich man and convince him to command that person to be beaten or killed (Carr).| In order to change laws within the Roman system, the two consuls would have to agree. If one did not agree then it would not be approved. Different from the Greek courts, the Romans had two people in charge instead of one (Carr). | | Architecture are alike, made from same materialOr elements. (brick) Art and architecture were similar between the Greek and Romans. | The Greek philosophers basically introduced the study of philosophy to the Romans. The major philosophers in the Greece culture are Socrates, Plato, and Aristotle. Around 50BC the Romans began to follow the Greek studies of philosophy (Carr). | The Romans got into philosophy just as Greek philosophers were studying. Roman philosophers basically translated the ideas of the Greece philosophers. However, the Romans philosophy was written in Latin (Carr).| The Greeks participated in many rituals, rites, ceremonies, and sacrifices, similar to the Roman religion. They practiced these activities in order to impress the Gods. Temples were built so that they can perform such activities in specific places (Carr). | Many Romans were looking for a way to get closer to the Gods....
