Dr. Spencer Reid played by Matthew Gray Gubler is the Supervisory Special Agent Profiler for the BAU. He is 6’1” and has auburn brown hair that is cut to his neckline which starts out straight and comes down in curls at the bottom; and he has light brown eyes that are set back in his head and have bags under them always looking like he hasn’t had enough sleep, yet he has a baby face. Dr. Reid was born in Las Vegas, Nevada and now resides in the District of Columbia possibly in or near Van Ness. He was born on October 9, 1981 to Diana Reid, a 15th century literature professor and William Reid a business man. He owns a Glock 17 and a silver .38 Smith 65 3’ revolver and drives a 1965 or 1966 horizon blue Volvo Amazon P130. At first appearance he is to be said as extremely aggressive. Dr. Spencer Reid is a misunderstood genius with an intelligence that makes him an abundant source of information for the BAU squad. Dr. Reid graduated from a Las Vegas high school at the age of 12. He holds PhDs in Mathematics, Chemistry, and Engineering, BAs in Psychology and Sociology and is working on a BA in Philosophy. He has an eidetic memory, meaning that he can remember an exceedingly large amount of information with extraordinary detail. This, however, only applies to information gathered visually; he has not been so successful in auditory information. Dr. Spencer Reid is the youngest member of the BAU, having joined at the age of 22. He has an IQ of 187, and can read 20,000 words per minute. However, even with all this knowledge, Reid cannot even do something as simple as using chopsticks. Dr. Spencer Reid’s character is round, in that, you never know how he is going to react to a case he is working on. He may appear laid back and easy going at first glance. Becoming very involved in the case, studying every aspect of it; but his character often struggles to come to terms with inner conflict; such as, childhood memories that get stirred up when he is working on cases...
