The success of company rests in the hands of employees. The impact on overall performance, customer loyalty and satisfaction is enormous. Due to this profound influence we must create a Plan for Positive Influence that will increase the motivation, satisfaction, and performance of employees.
Senior management has assigned the learning team a large project. In order to ensure the project will be a huge success management feels the team should learn more about themselves. All team members will be required to take three self assessments.
The DiSC assessment is a personality profile and behavioral assessment which assists employees to recognize why they do what they do? “What’s my Emotional Intelligence Score?” assessment predicts performance when it comes to understanding and managing emotions. The Values and Attitude Insights, examines the why of your actions, pointing out what drives the behavior and gives awareness to what moves peoples actions.
Based on the results of the assessments the team should discuss their individual strengths and weaknesses associated with working with others. Each member should disclose their variations in personalities, attitudes, emotions, and values that have been determined. This information is resourceful to effectively implement these differences positively to the team.
‘We define motivation as the processes that account for an individual’s intensity, direction, and persistence of effort toward attaining a goal” (Robbins & Judge, 2007, p.186).   All people have their own motive for working. Employers must fulfill this need to achieve employee motivation.
Abraham Maslow created the Hierarchy of needs model his idea states it is the responsibility of employers to provide an environment that aides employees to accomplish their own potential. People generally have five needs. The needs are:
