CPT ROBLES MY FORCE STORY
A WALK OF FATE
My child,
You may not know me, but I know everything about you.
I know when you sit down and when you rise up. I am familiar with all your ways. (Psalm 139:1-3)

I made so many decisions in every stage of my life. Decisions to discover that God reserves a life full of surprises to fulfill his plan for us. Decisions that had influenced and developed my well-being and lead to a place where I am right now.
My name is Vic Anthony C Robles. I was born on October 5, 1981 and raised in a small town of Baliwag, in the province of Bulacan known for its buntal hat weaving and rice farming. I am the second among six siblings. My love for aviation begins at an early age. As a young child I was always curious, outgoing and eager to learn. I can spend my whole day looking up in the sky and waiting for an airplane to pass by. I even made different design of paper planes to share and play with my cousins. Since then, I dreamed of becoming a pilot someday.
Although we are financially constraint, my parents instilled in us to follow our dreams and inculcated in our heart and mind the value of education. I was so determine to do well in school since I believe that it will be the only means to achieve my ambition. However, fate tested my childhood and I became sickly.
At age seven, I nearly drowned in our fishpond and was found out floating and unconscious on the water by my sister. My family thought that I will not make it but God gave me another chance and I survived that incident. The unfortunate event affected my fragile lungs and I became asthmatic after that traumatic incident.
At age ten, I was diagnosed with acute appendicitis and underwent surgery. I stayed in the hospital for one week and had to be absent from my classes. My health condition did not stop my determination to do better in my studies. While confined in the hospital, I spent my time reading books and catching up to lessons that I have missed. I recovered fast and I was able to go

One of the choices I made would be to be a more caring and helpful person. I was always both caring and helpful, but just sometimes and to certain people. I really like helping people and caring for them, I know it makes them happy, so it makes me happy. Even though I have a lot going on in my life, I like to be a caring person; it helps everyone out a little bit. If I could tell everyone in the world one thing, it would be: “Do things to your best ability and help those that need help, or a…

Winston Churchill said, “Success is not final, failure is not fatal; it is the courage to continue that counts.” You are not guaranteed to be successful so you must work hard to succeed. If you happen to fall along the way, get back up and try again; failure won’t kill you, it will only make you stronger. What counts the most is that you continue to do your absolute best even though there may be obstacles in your way. This can be seen in each of articles I read as well as in my own experience. Each person in the articles, and myself have had some sort of obstacle to overcome when it came to our education but we never gave up until we were where we wanted or needed to be. If we want to be successful and get a good education we must have determination, encouragement, and fulfillment.…

Accepting Jesus was by far the biggest decision I have had to make. Welcoming him into my life changed me in so many ways, for example, I had finally found myself in this huge world that was filled with nothing but sin and destruction. The rebirth stage tore me all the way down I was nothing at that stage I was like a newborn baby all over again just in a spiritual state. Coming from a broken background, I was breaking myself down by lying, cheating, just doing everything possible that I knew I could get away with. That phase gave me consequences that I was not use…

My family aboard the boat began to worry for one another safety. We were now in a life-threatening storm on the midst of a furious river. I observed the innocence of a child in my niece as the depressing look of fear surrounded her shivering, cold, wet body. Yet, she remained hopeful and prayed to God for eternal life in Heaven. We cried out desperate prayers while the raging storm pounded our pontoon boat like a boxing match. My grandfather maintained the courage and strength and proceeded to steer the boat in the horrific scene.…

The education I have received from my parents has been fundamental in my personal development. “I will give my best and I will not accept less than that” that was how my father made me start my day. Since I was little my parents erased the words “ I can not” and “I do not know” from my vocabulary. They taught me that I had to face my responsibilities and problems no matter what, for this reason, I was astonished when we moved to Texas two years ago and they told me that I could not be in 11th grade.…

I grew up in a poor neighbourhood in the Caribbean Island of Antigua. Although I had a few really fond childhood memories, family life was generally not a good experience for me. There was always the daily struggle for my parents to put food on the table for four children. Perhaps the reason for this was the fact that neither my mother nor stepfather even finished High School. Hence they both got trapped in low paying dead-end jobs. Growing up, the word ‘college’ was not commonly spoken at home. In fact there was never really any interest shown by my parents in my school life. This may be one of the reasons why I never felt compelled go further with my education. “When parents talk to their children about school, expect them to do well, make sure that out of school activities are constructive, and help them plan for college, their children perform better in school.” That is outlined in the online article “Research Spotlight on Parental Involvement in Education”, a report posted on National Education Association NEA official website. I always believed that college was important but felt a bit guilty about wanting to go when I knew that my parents were eagerly awaiting me to complete high school and find a job to help out with the mountain of bills…

This confirms God can perform miracles. Despite all my success, I still have struggles in my life, some will be harder to overcome than others. First, I still have to sleep with a ventilator as I have sleep apnea. This makes it difficult for me to stay overnight with friends, as they may not be used to sleeping with a very disturbing machine such as my ventilator. Also, this past summer my doctor told my mom and I that I had permanent lung damage. As a result I have to do chest clapping two times per day to prevent my lungs from getting any worse. Unfortunately I more likely than not have to live with these setbacks for the rest of my life. Considering how far I have come since I was a little nugget, I am blessed to have only a few hindrances.…
