Executive Summary The Alzheimer’s Association of North Central Texas Chapter has held a golf tournament at the Timarron Country Club for the past two years. Last year, they had a full time coordinator to make all the arrangements and organize the event, but the coordinator left the organization and a replacement was not found. The charity is in need of more sponsors for the golf tournament to donate $5,000 or more. The International Solutions group went through the steps of creative problem solving to come up with a solution to the problem. The results of going through the process are four solutions. The major solution deduced from using the GME tool to go through the steps of creative problem solving was to “Contact Businesses with headquarters in the Dallas\Fort Worth area.” The minor solutions were finding sources of information on businesses, contact other charitable corporations, and contact the companies’ community relations representative. To ensure that the recommendations were innovative and adaptive, more research and brainstorming was performed. The end results are the following recommendations: contact Alzheimer medication makers, have employees donate plasma, have Southwest Airlines employee donate airline tickets, and implement Charity Days at corporations. The major recommendation is the Charity Days. The returns on investments (ROIs) are high for all four recommendations due to the use of volunteers and the companies taking on some of the expenses. The Charity Day recommendation has an ROI of 5,660%. The drug companies’ recommendation has an ROI of 19,900%; the Southwest Airlines tickets recommendation has an ROI of 20908.40%. The ROI for the plasma donations recommendation is 5,069%.

Our small project focused on the leadership and service pillars. Every other week on Saturday from 1-3, we went to Summerwood of Chanhassen to work with the patients who have dementia. Typically we would run each session by doing activities with them. Each week the activities were different but some included, the alphabet game, memory/brain games, kick ball using a beach ball. Throughout the months, we really started to get to know the patients and connected with them and the patient’s looked forward to us coming. . Personally this experience was very…

Here in Houston there’s a non-profit organization by the name of, “The Care Zone.” The care zone assists single parents, low income families and loyal students in the greater Houston area. The ceo and founder of the care zone is Chung “Chad” Kim, a refugee of Cambodia. Mr.Kim, founded the care zone in 2009 so his organization is still very new to the community and the city. Even though the organization is still fairly new, they’ve made it capable for others to communicate with them as well as being able to communicate with the community. If a person is willing to donate a totaled vehicle or just an old vehicle they no longer want and would love a tax write off, a person would only need to fill out the “contact us” form found on the care zone website and representative would contact them on their next moves. Since the care zone does assist clients, they much like all other human service professionals want to see growth from the…

Alzheimer’s is a disease which messes around with many individuals’ brains and memories, so the people who have this disease need constant care since they are not able to function properly. This care costs a lot of money, but the investment in caregivers would decrease if scientists were given more money to research cures for Alzheimer’s. Consequently, the US is losing more money by not providing more funding for Alzheimer’s research. Also, according to Stephanie Baum, a digital health editor, found that 94 percent of scientist said there is a lack of funding which causes delay to find a cure; therefore, 91 percent of scientists stated that they are leaving the field of research for Alzheimer’s due to the insufficient funding. Since the budget for Alzheimer’s has not increased many scientist are beginning to leave the field, but when more money is given to Alzheimer’s research there will not be enough scientist to work together to create a cure. Advocates are needed to spread the awareness of the problem, so more money is invested in research. If scientist know there will be a better chance of creating a cure soon, they will not leave the field due to the lack or…

CP is one of the most successful multinational companies in Thailand. It has great effects not just on ASEAN economy but China and Europe as well and it is rated number two on producer of chicken in the world. CP is a very old company that can be dated back around 1921,which if we talk about strategies, CP done it so many times by using the opportunities and gain advantages ahead of others. First of all, CP is a food company which sells mainly chickens. Nowadays, CP has thousands of branches around the world and number one chicken import and export in Asia and number one on animal food producer in the world. If we want to talk about CP strategies, we have to go through CP’s history in 1962. In 1962, CP was competed with many other crops companies to sell crop to Thai farmer in Thailand. However, at that time, farmers did not trust the crops that came from the companies because there were cases of rotten crops and the quality was very bad. CP, at that time, depended mainly on animal crop which were the main revenues for CP. Dhanin, owner of CP, had the idea that will throw the competitors off the game. He mixed and sold crops in packages instead of actual food for animals. He hired the specialist to control the product which it is rarely new in Thailand. CP promised to every farmer that they willing to pay for everything that happen related to their products. Therefore, CP gains farmer’s trust since then. CP slowly changed from selling animal crop to chickens due to the demand of chicken in Asia. In 1967, CP conducted four new minor companies to give opportunities for the one who has potential to show their management skill and CP bought 90% of stock market on chicken packaging. . In 1995, CP has over 57 factories in 50 cities throughout Asia and Europe.…
