Corporate Villain or Third World Philanthropist

Is hiring children in third world countries for cheap labor extorting or giving

them good opportunities? In reality the businesses are taking advantage over people who live in conditions were the amount of money the children could possibly earn could be detrimental to the families income. The businesses who hire these children are now incredibly happy because they get their product made for cheap, but on the other-side these children work so they can bring in whatever income they can bring in to their families. This is unfortunate because in reality many people would agree that this type of business structure is a bad thing. This style of business is great for the American because they spend pennies for labor costs which saves them an enormous amount of money. As well as the benefits the American company gets the third world country has benefit in it. There is a phrase “Some business is better then no business” that can be applied to this. By the company building a factory this is creating jobs which can in turn stimulate the economy some what, which can be considered helping the city. Everyones opinion on something like this can vary. Is hiring children in third world countries for cheap labor extorting or giving them good opportunities? In my opinion I think that the idea to offer those kind of wages anywhere is taking complete advantage of the workers. Even if your argument is that “something is better than nothing”, when the something is close to nothing that isnʼt a great deal. That is why I agree with corporate villian.
