In reviewing the Kudler Fine Foods business, it appears that they project strong values for their customers, employees, and in the communities they reside.   Evidence of Kudler’s value for their customers is located in Kudler’s mission statement.   Kudler Fine Foods is committed to providing our customers with the finest selection of the very best foods and wines so that your culinary visions can come true (University of Phoenix, 2003).   The mission statement has at its center the customer; the actions of the company are driven by the desires of the customer.   In addition, Kudler has instituted a frequent shopper program that rewards customers for their loyalty; a program that demonstrates Kudler’s desire to do what is right for their customers.   In both 2008 and 2009, Kudler Fine Foods conducted a customer survey designed to continue providing products and services that center on the customers’ desires.   Finally, Kudler demonstrates their desire to satisfy their customers by welcoming requests for products not currently provided by the organization.   If a customer asks for a particular product Kudler will special order that product, and if other customers make a similar request, Kudler Fine Foods will begin to carry that product in its stores.  

Through their recruitment and selection practices, Kudler also demonstrates strong values by promoting and hiring from within for all positions other than entry- level.   Kudler is also committed to providing high levels of training and development for their employees.   An example of Kudler’s commitment to employee training and development is highlighted in the following statement taken from the company policies and procedures handbook.   Our customers expect to be served by courteous and knowledgeable associates. In order to meet the highest standards of customer service, our employees take part in an extensive training program and have opportunities for further professional development (University of Phoenix, 2003)....
