WORKSHOP ON
CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY IN WATER SECTOR
Dear Colleagues, ladies and gentlemen, it is now my proud privilege to extend a vote of thanks to Respected Sh. Umesh Narayan Panjiar, Secretary, Water Resources, Govt. of India for agreeing to deliver a special address in this workshop. He has recently taken over as Secretary, Water Resources but his people oriented thought processes are already impacting the mindset of Organisations like WAPCOS under the aegis of Union Ministry of Water Resources. We were all very honoured by his presence here and I in person look forward to his continuing guidance to enable WAPCOS to fulfill its Corporate Social Responsibility.
I have had the opportunity to meet and discuss approaches to Water Resources Development with Sh. D.K. Mittal, Managing Director, IL&FS. Sh. Mittal has pragmatic ideas to solve various issues affecting the development of water resources. WAPCOS and IL&FS are planning to have a joint venture Company to take up community oriented projects in Water Sector. I am grateful to Sh. Mittal for delivering a very informative talk in this workshop.
Sh. Arup Roy Choudhary, led the turnaround of NBCC. NBCC is now forging ahead in new territories under the dynamic leadership of Sh. Choudhary. He is also a personal friend. Thank you Sh. Choudhary for gracing this Workshop.
Sh. Ram Mohan Mishra, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Water Resources is also the Director of WAPCOS. This workshop has been organized under his guidance. WAPCOS is always being benefited by his sage and sound advise. I would like to convey my gratitude to him on behalf of each and everyone from WAPCOS. Sir, I hope you will continue to enable us to achieve new milestones in near future.
