Corporations and organizations have evolved to become big, powerful and in some cases multinational global players that no one can ignore or disregard. They not only touch nearly every single life but also set the market rules and effect whole society and environment.
So to say, not only shareholders and investors who are expecting corporations to be profitable and make them money but the very same communities and markets in which they operate are deeply affected by their operations. If we point out that those very same corporations are creating employment for individuals in community and business to whole set of various local and/or global suppliers/service providers and mention that by being or not being ethical they create social conscience in societies where they operate we would be able to understand how important role they play. Just because their unique status they could be called modern day Cyclops regardless their size. It is worth mentioning that the bigger Cyclops become the more it affects its surroundings.
Having said that they have colossal effect on society as a whole in many different aspects obviously one would see that mechanism that drives those giants certainly is of great importance and that actually is the core component that makes difference. We could easily say that if right person or group of people is in right place with right set of tools providing them authority to govern the benefit created will not only be for the core shareholders/investors but for the employees, suppliers, creditors, customers, governments and definitely communities in which subject corporations operate.
With the evolution of corporations, though much slower concept of Management also evolved and need to have merit based managers emerged. With this development not only basic supervisors or coordinators but more competent visionaries with clear conceptual skills and effective sets of qualifications in management emerged.
