Abstract

This paper hopes to create a corporate compliance plan for Riordan Manufacturing. Based on the learning in class, this paper will apply legal principles of business management. It will also lay emphasis on effective plans on managing the legal liabilities of Riordian Manufacturing associates as well as the decision makers.

Overview of Riordan Manufacturing
Having obtained a couple of patents for processing polymers into high textile strength plastic substrates in 1991, Dr Riordan streamed Riordan Manufacturing (University of Phoenix, 2003). Two years later, Riordan Manufacturing diversified to include the production of plastic beverage containers. The production was in Albany, Georgia, the company’s first manufacturing plant.
Currently, in addition to the Albania, Georgia plant, Riordan boasts of production plants in Pontiac, Michigan as well as plastic fan parts in Hangzhou, China. Those who patronize Riordan include the Department of Defense, automotive parts manufacturers, beverage makers, bottlers, appliance manufacturers and aircraft manufacturers (University of Phoenix, 2003).
Corporate Compliance Overview
Riordan made a conscious effort in creating a Corporate Compliance Plan customized in accordance with the company’s specialized area of plastic designs. The organization’s commitment to operate and manage its program with business and ethical inclination is paramount above other variables.
The employees are expected to positively impact on the business functions of the company with a great deal of ethical standards and integrity. The management is also not left out in this strategy as they are expected to show leadership by a show of quality leadership as well as a display of unrivaled integrity and ethical standards.
