Identify four types of control mechanisms
    Quality control is the extent of variation in the processes of products that are considered acceptable (Management control, 2006). The American Cancer Society (ACS) was started in 1913 by 15 well-known doctors and business leaders in New York City. Campaign notes where published as a monthly bulletin with information on cancer, this helped them to recruit doctors throughout the country as a way to teach the public. There has been more then $3.3 billion committed to research and funding. There have been 42 Noble/Prize winners and this was before they where even recognized.
    Normative controls are the way to govern employees and managerial behavior through generally accepted patterns of action. In 1936 there where volunteers called The Women’s Field Army and the recruits wore khaki uniforms that had the insignia of rank and achievement. The head quarters are the ones who make the planning and coordination they also provide technical support and materials to other offices (ACS, na).
    Organizational culture norms are the norms that are based on the organizational culture with shared values, beliefs, and rituals. The ACS employees and volunteers all share the same goal to rid the world of all types of cancer, this is done through research that is private and nonprofit funds in the United States and is only second to the federal government in total dollars spent. They give supports to family and friends of people who have cancer. They also want to educate people on ways to prevent cancer and let them know that early detection will help save their lives.
    Team norms are the informal rules where members of the teams are aware of their responsibilities. Working as a team of doctors, volunteers, and researchers they work with believe of diversity and inclusion.
