I understand what to be the components of a business start with profit motive, for example, goods or services in exchange to make money for companies and their partnerships and those who have shares in the business .There is a great deal of the state of anxiety between the world of mental health services as a business , unfortunalty it is the service users and their families that are stuck and weighed up in-between the two.
Starting a business or being a business also impacts the importance of being able to give what the customers are asking for which in turn will keep the business afloat and then make an increase in profit and sales.Theese business will also have to have the power to produce a desired result as well as having an established method of procedure and be formed or arranged on a regular plan.A business also needs to be able to understand what is capable of being used and what is available and relate to action not theory or speculation.
One of the main difficulties of drug companies is that it arises a conflict of interest, as mental health services are suppose to help people who are suffering mental distress, but yet drug companies relay upon an ongoing and sufficient amount of patients. The impact of pharmaceutical industry is pheaps more pronounced in the USA where there is a view that psycharity has almost been bought out by the drug companies (Mosher unit 20 pg33, challenging ideas in mental health).
For a company it can be a profitable gain to produce and successfully market a drug which is prescribed widely, take a look at antidepressants it is in the up most of importance to drug companies to prescribe a particular drug as this has a huge and dramatic affect on profit, as there is a big market for these drugs and the growth on this side of business.
