Armstrong Williams once said “Even during the worst hardships, when the other things in our lives seem to fall apart, we can still find peace in the eternal life of God.” A very important event in history is the shooting of 26 people, 20 children and 6 staff members, in Connecticut on December 14th, 2012. Although this event is more recent than others, I feel it is equally important. No one can even begin to comprehend what the parents and loved ones and friends of these people are going through, especially when the holidays were just around the corner. For the family, this event marks the day that their life was forever changed in a matter of minutes.

On the day of the shooting it is reported that Adam Lanza, the shooter, had a fight with his mom at her house and then shot her. After shooting his mother, Lanza got into her car and drove to the school opening fire on 20 children between the ages 6-7, and 6 staff members. People who knew Adam all said that he was shy, but could never imagine that he would one day do that. We also found out that Adam and his mother had a very close relationship, and when he would have break downs that she would need to come to his school and comfort him. Its things like this that can make one wonder, if he had such a love for his mother, then why kill her?

Adam Lanza was described as a shy young man who mainly kept to himself and if approached he would either change directions or cling to a wall. He was also described as a ‘loner.’ Bowling 2 It’s not said if he has a medical condition of some...
