In this essay i will be describing three different types of conflicts. First the conflict from person to person. Second the conflict of a person to society, and finally the third conflict which is a person conflicting with themselves.

In the play “The Crucible” one type of conflict that was going on throughout the play was the conflict, between two people. Such as John Procter and Abigail, they had a conflict going on for about 8 months, because Procter had an affair with Abigail. Thats how the conflict began and as Procter kicks abigail out of his house she felt betrayed and dishonered. So she made the other girls as well as her self to believe that they seen spirits and people siding with the devil. Including John Procter’s Wife Goody Procter.

In the play “The Crucible” another type of conflict that was going on throughout the play was a conflict, between a person and society. Such as john Procter and the court. The court Were believing the children every which way. Now John Procter really didnt care what the court was doing until Abigail Set up elizabeth to look like she was trying to kill her in some witchcraft way.

In the play “The Crucible” the last type of conflict going on throughout the play was a conflict, between a person and himself. The character im going to use is John Procter. Procter throughout the play he is feeling sorry for himself as well as a lot of guilt. That is why he cannot say one of the ten commandment the one of commiting Adultry, because he has commited that very sin.

All three of these conflicts are great conflicts in the story “The Crucible” as you can see. There are alot of other great conflicts such as two groups arguing or giles corey arguing that his wife was reading nothing but books she has no deed with the devil.
