From the past to the present, people have had a desire to express their thoughts and feelings. Art si the result of the people's passion for articulateness. In relation to this, I think, certian restrictions from government should not be presented to people, especially artists.
At the outset, the freedom of enpression is the basic right of every person. Therefore, the creativity of artists should not be restricted. For example, if a painter wants to commuincate his own idea through painting naked women, he can paint that picture without any hesitation because it is his right.
Equally import!ant, obscenity is in the eye of the beholder. A decision whether a form of art is immoral or not can not be judged by government. For instance, Korean government does not allow import!ing some movies that contain sexually explicit massages even though, they are recognised as art movies in most parts of the world. Thus, people who want to see there movies have to violate their respective laws.
By contrast, government restrictions can prevent children from lewd products and artworks that are perceived by society as immoral. For example, children are not mature enough to judge. They easily and blindly believe and admire what they see in movies. However, the youth should learn how to distinguish art from other things. In this aspect, the ability can be improved through experiencing both obscenith and morality. Thus, the most import!ant thing in preventing children from lewd products is not government restrictions bur guidance by someone who strongly influence children, like thier parents.
In a nutshell, it is true that distinguishing a form of art is difficult since there are many products which seem like artists' crafts. However, if government restricts their creativity, then there will be no real meaning of art. [continues]
