Allaah says interpretation of the meaning):You will not find any people who believe in Allaah and the Last Day, making friendship with those who oppose Allaah and His Messenger; [al-Mujaadilah 58:22] 2. Inclining towards them, relying upon them and taking them as a support. Allaah says interpretation of the meaning): And incline not towards those who do wrong, lest the Fire should touch you[Hood 11:113] 3. Helping and supporting them against the Muslims. Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning): The believers, men and women, are awliya (helpers, supporters, friends, protectors) of one another [al- Tawbah 9:71]. Bigelow and La Gaipa (1975) observed children’s friendships by asking a number of children to write an essay about their best friend using the approach called “content analysis”. William Corsaro however dictates that in order to study children you must study them in the context of their own peer culture, he used the “ethnographic approach”. In this essay I shall attempt to compare and contrast the approach used by Bigelow and La Gaipa (1975) and that taken by William Corsaro (2006).…

It is ironic that while they are based on similar scriptures, and therefore similar ideologies, Christianity and Islam have had divergent attitudes towards the acceptance of religious minorities. By its nature, the Christian faith antagonizes other religions, including Judaism and Islam, because, according to Christian scripture, a lack of belief in the divinity of Jesus Christ results in damnation. The Muslim faith, however, has a much more tolerant view on “People of the Book,” including Christians and Jews, since such tolerance is stipulated by Islamic scripture. Subsequent treatment (as opposed to acceptance) of religious minorities, however, was similar between followers of the two religions, ranging from relative social indifference, for example religious freedom in exchange for a tax, to extreme violence, despite differences in attitudes towards acceptance. It appears that, for the Christians and Muslims, the relationship between religious acceptance and religious treatment/violence is extremely weak, as the latter can usually be linked to political or economic motives.…

As a Christian minority from the Middle East, the phenomenon that I have experienced since I came to the United States from Syria is the consideration of all Arabs as Muslims (Sunni or Shia). People all over the world think that Arabs follow Islam religion; however, the facts state that Arabs are 10% Christians, 5% follow other faith and 85% Muslims. In general, it is also usual to say that Arabs are terrorists, which is totally wrong from many points of views because not all Arabs are Sunni or Shia, and not all Sunni and Shia are terrorist. After six months of interacting with people, I started to feel the generalization that my friends made in school. Because of that, I was anxious about being negatively evaluated. When people saw the Cross on my neck, they usually ask me if I am a Christian or not. As a result, I had to explain to them the demographics of Arab people, so they…

A muslim treats other muslim depends on where he or she come from due to racial profiling, societal expectations and stereotypes, etc. Even our Prophet (s.a.w) opposed all forms of racialism.
