Abstract
In this writing, will explain the computer generations and the historical development of the computers and also highlight microcomputers and supercomputers architecture. The Von Neumann architecture concept will be discussing this paper with fetch-decode-execution cycle process. And will also describe two different kind of CISC based category as well as RISC based category computer system with comparison of organization of its components, structures of CPU, memory, storage and input and output components, interconnections between these component, CPU instruction sets, addressing modes and effects of organization of those components for the system

Introduction

Generally, there are three different era in the human history of the world. Agricultural era, industrial era and information era are those three eras. In agricultural era, peoples life is depend on the agriculture, almost all in era are pleasant farmers and in industrial era, most people are industrial worker who works in a factory. However in information era, due to development of computers and communication technology emerge an information based society most people are depend on the creation, distribution and use of information and the success of business and the management is depend on the information technology. Our human lives are influenced by computers. Major industries, banks, railway reservations, airlines, hotels, even shops main operations are accomplish by depending on computers as well as we use computer for entertainments, education, telemedicine, training etc. Thus computer plays significant role of an organization as well as individual daily processes of life ( Marini Abu Bakar,Dr Sufian Idris,Nor Ieyza Jailani,Roziah Latih,Majumin Hanum (2007, p.2-6)).

Computer generation and the historical development of the computers According to Wikipedia free encyclopedia, “computer is a programmable machine designed to sequentially and automatically carry out a sequence of arithmetic or logical operations. The particular sequence of operations can be changed readily, allowing the computer to solve more than one kind of problem”. The rapid pace of development of computer architectures and computer function and capabilities are expanding. ( Marini Abu Bakar,Dr Sufian Idris,Nor Ieyza Jailani,Roziah Latih,Majumin Hanum (2007, p.6)). And the development of technologies ease the way of computer operate as well make those computer system more powerful and efficient plus make its size reduce and also minimize the cost of these computers ( webopedia,2011). The history of computer development is directed to the generation of computers and each generation is characterized by a major technological development of a particular generation. First computer
