In Australia, McDonald is one of the most competitive competitor in fast food chain for Hungry Jacks. Originally, McDonald was first existed as hamburger outlet in California in 1945 and owned by McDonald brothers. But their originality, their fresh-made burgers and fries, and economical price attracted a milkshake machine salesman named Ray Kroc. And then, Ray Kroc made some deal with McDonald brothers, if he was allowed to open new Mc Donald store, he will give some percent of his gross sales to McDonald brothers for the use of name and idea. Finally, they made a deal which allowed Ray to open his new store. Surprisingly, McDonald food store became really successful. More than 150 stores had been opened in USA that time in less than 20 years. In 1961, Ray Kroc bought McDonald shared business for $3 million dollars and in 1965 the company officially named McDonald’s corporation. In the same year with Hungry Jacks, McDonald’s also opened his first store in Yagoona, Australia in 1971. McDonald’s also a franchise business which owned by more than a half of Australian restaurant. There are some factors which make McDonald’s is the most competitive competitor for Hungry Jacks. Firstly, the difference use marketing mix between both of these fast food chains are pretty obvious. McDonalds really uses every variable for 4P’s effectively to inform the society why it is better than other fast food store. It’s not only focus about promoting the products, it also explains why McDonald’s is healthy, what materials do it uses for the packaging so it won’t threaten environmental condition. McDonald’s also inform the society about how they get the ingredients from local markets so it will bring advantages for the country, using their profits for support sport events, and also donate the profits for seriously ill children and families in Australia.
