Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert
Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert are the hosts of late night satirical news shows, The Daily Show and The Colbert Report on Comedy Central, considered by many as fake news, are also funny and insightful concerning current events. Jon Stewart succeeded Craig Kilborn as host of The Daily Show in 1999 changing how individuals view the news. Stephen Colbert started as a chief correspondent on The Daily Show before The Colbert Report, a spin-off from The Daily Show that was created in 2005. Both Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert provide different points of view on many issues facing society today and leave the viewers wanting more. Appearing Monday through Thursday night, viewers stay up late to watch The Daily Show followed by The Colbert Report from 11:00 p.m. to midnight.

In 1989, Jon Stewart hosted Short Attention Span Theater on Comedy Central, a role that led to hosting the first talk show on Music Television (MTV), The Jon Stewart Show. Prior to The Daily Show, Jon Stewart was a comedian and actor, starring in films that include Half-Baked (1998), The Faculty (1998), and Big Daddy (1999). Stephen Colbert worked an office job with the Second City Comedy Troupe in 1986. There Stephen Colbert met fellow actors, Amy Sedaris, and Paul Dinello, where together they created a sketch comedy show called Exit-57 (1995), and the sitcom, Strangers with Candy (1999). Prominent comedians, Jon Stewart, and Stephen Colbert currently entertain many viewers as the hosts of the top rated shows on Comedy Central.
