Comparing Myself
Describe yourself is not easy as you think, who is define, is limited! Comparing me with something can be so difficult, I'm the kind of person that changes my feelings and my attitudes faster than ever! Like in the moment I would like to drink a soda, but few minutes later change my idea for a chocolate milk! So I never know exactly what I want! In this moment if I could describe myself with a sentence, this would be "Live your life like there is no tomorrow", I love the way this sounds good on me, because I don't know what can happen to me now or tomorrow, each second of my life is precious to me . I don't lost my time being mad with people, I just ignore and think that everything is ok. So I always say to people how much they are important to me, how much I love them. I do whatever I want to do, everything that I feel like. Our life is too short to worry about stupid things, just don't worry and be happy. Dance like no ones is watching , don't worry for what other people think about you, be yourself, whatever you want to be. Give value for who matters to you, who you know that loves you for who you are. Each moment is important to me don't matter if I am a kid, a teen or a old person, life has your wonderful moments for everybody, just enjoy it. Describing myself with something visual is a family picture, just because my family is the most important thing in my life, they are the ones that always is going to be there for me, whatever that I need and they truly love me. They know everything about me, they make my past , my present, and for sure my future. Friends come and goes, but family is forever. Like my daddy, he lives far away from me, but everything that I need help he always try his best to do so. So my family is my everything, the high value of my life. If you want or need something you don't have to tell them, they know already just by looking at your eyes, is pure love. A digital camera could be something tactile to represent me, I just love to

When words are not an option to describe someone what else might one use to represent themselves? The imagery I would include in my metaphoric portrait would be a stage, Disney World, and a plane.…

We often do not realize we compare ourselves to those around us weather it is at work, school, or at the grocery store. Let’s say you go grocery shopping at Food 4 Less, and there is a person in front of you and the cashier tells him the amount due and asks him if he would like to donate to the Children’s Memorial Hospital, the man says no thank you and leaves. You are next in line, and now it is your turn to pay and the cashier also asks you if you would like to donate to the Children’s Memorial Hospital and you smile and say yes five dollars. How did that make you feel when the guy in front of you did not donate money, but you did? You felt awesome. But, while you are still bagging your food you overheard, the cashier asking the women behind you if she would like to donate money to the Children’s Memorial Hospital and the person says yes I would like to donate 20 dollars. What would your reaction be if you only donated 5 dollars and the women behind you donated 20 dollars? In my response paper, I will be explaining what the social comparison theory is.…

I don’t know how to begin to define myself in order for you to understand who I truly am. I believe there is more to a person than stories that mould us into who we are today; like when one asks, “Tell me your story," I don’t think about that time when my family broke into two or that time I was diagnosed with my mental illnesses. I think of coffee, because coffee is bitter and bitter people drink coffee, sad people; people with heavy hearts and heavy footsteps, with tangled thoughts, people with anxiety and words left unspoken, people like me. Lonely people drink coffee. I think of the world map I have in my room with thumbtacks marking every country I want to visit. I think of foreign languages, and how beautiful it sounds when words form…

I did mention myself changing. A lot of things promoted that growth. Many outside forces that I did not mention in my previous writings influenced me to grow and made me into who I am today. The main catalyst for my personal growth was going on that trip and gaining perspective. Getting out of my small town, I realized that my problems were so miniscule and that there was a whole world out there. From there I spent more time with family, rekindled my love for art, and transferred to a different school. The hard time I went through was awful, but it promoted so much growth and has made me into the person I am…

During my 18 years, I’ve learned how important family is. Your family will always be there for you no matter what. My family supports me in everything I do. All their time and money cannot express how much they love me because love is more than any of that. Love between families is a special bond of time, laughs, smiles and memories. Love is something that family doesn’t have to say to each other because we already know and I am blessed to have a family that loves me in every way possible.…
