For this assignment I will be comparing two leaders. The two leaders I will be comparing are Abraham Lincoln, and Julius Ceaser. Abraham Lincoln. Occupation: Civil Rights Activist, Lawyer, U.S President, and U.S Representive. Birth Date: February 12, 1809 Death Date: April 15,1865 Place Of birth Hodgenville, Kentucky. Death Of Place: Washington, D.C. Full Name Abraham Lincoln Nickname: Honest Abe Second Nickname The Great Emancipator. ChildHood: Abraham Lincoln was born in a log cabin in Hardin County, Kentucky. Abraham had a older sister, and a younger brother named Sarah & Thomas who died in infancy. Due to a land dispute, the Lincolns' were forced to move from Kentucky to Perry county, Indiana in 1817. Abraham's mother Nancy died of Tremetol(milk sickness) at the age of 34, when Abraham was only 9 years old. Law Career: later on In March, 1830 The Family Migrated again, and moved to Macon County, Illinois, His father moved the family again to Coles, County Abraham Lincoln was 22 years old he stuck out in this town, making a living in manual labor. At six foot four inches tall Lincoln was rawbone and lanky, but he was also musclar, and physically strong. Lincoln spoke with a backwoods twang, and walked with a long-striding gait. Lincoln was known for is skill of weilding an a, and made a living splitting wood for fire and rail fencing. Lincoln migrated to the small community of New Salem, Illinois wher over a period of years he worked as a shoekeeper, postmaster, and eventually general store owner. Lincoln was working with the public, this is where Lincoln aquired his social skills, and honed on his story-telling talent that made him popular with the locals. When the Black Hawk war broke out in 1832 between the United states and the Native Americans, the volunteers had elected Lincoln to be their Captain.
