Since our president Deng xiaoping put forward the slogan “reform and opening up”, our country’s economy got rapid progress. After 35 years of development China now is becoming one of the most powerful countries in the world. With the time pass on service industry becoming more and more important. During this development hospitality industry is the most significant. As the world’s third largest country we always attract travelers all over the world. Chinese hospitality industry has never had such a rapid development. But as we know rapid development is always accompanied by a variety of problems, market gradually saturated, cutthroat competition, lack for core value, no characteristic, environmental problems. But it seems that we still have a long way to go.

1.The current situation of Chinese hospitality industry.
1.1Chinese tourism and hospitality industry development statistics and development situation analysis(2010~2011) In July 2010, the national tourism administration announced, in the first half of 2011 the national total tourism revenue exceeded 1 trillion Yuan, a year-on-year growth of 18% over the same period. Among them, the number of domestic tourism about 1.33 billion passengers, up by 13%; Domestic tourism income of about 920 billion Yuan, a 22% increase year-on-year. Inbound tourism number about 66 million passengers, up by 1%; Entry for the night tourist number about 27.5 million passengers, up by 1%; Tourist foreign exchange income of about 22.5 billion us dollars, up 1% increase. In the first half of 2011 there are throughout the country 3837 construction in tourism projects, actual finish investment of 61.563 billion Yuan RMB, a 10.5% increase year-on-year. In the first half of 2011 the national star hotel room growth 12%, operating income increased by 18%. The expected future 3 to 5 years the development of the hotel industry will be 10-15% a year the speed increasing.(see appendix 1)

1.2The current scale of Chinese hospitality industry.
1.2.1The numbers of starts hotels
According to the national tourism administration, statistics, by the end of 2010, China had hotel 13991, room number is about 3000000. Among them 595 five star hotel, we have 218064 rooms, Four-star hotel 2219, room number 449207 rooms. Compared with 2009, the five-star hotel increased 95; Four-star increased 235; Three-star increased 451; And two star classes and star class hotel with different degree of reduce. The largest increase is Guangdong, for 128. To reduce the most is Yunnan, for 60.(see appendix 2)

1.2.2The structure of starts hotels
In the national 13991 star hotels, the state-owned hotel 4713, accounting for 33.69% of the total national star, Collective hotel for 590 home, accounted for 4.22%; Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan investment hotel for 298 home, accounted for 2.13%; Foreign investment hotel for 274 home, accounted for 1.96%; Pool, stock, private and other registration types of hotel a total of 8116, accounting for 58.01% of the total number of all-star hotel

1.2.3 Each district number of star hotel
In 2010 star hotels total more than 500 areas are: Guangdong 1175, Zhejiang 1067, Shandong 904, Jiangsu 863, Yunnan 766, Beijing 708, 607 in Hubei, Hunan province in 549, Henan 501.

1.2.4The scale of Chinese hotel management group
By 2010, the largest 30 Chinese hotel management group, a total of 2049 hotel, room 426647, average each group have hotel 68.3 home, room 14222. Guest room number five ranked group respectively is: Jinjiang international, Kaiyuan group, CTSHK group, Jingjiang group and Beijing capital tourism country, the five group hotel guest room number have more than 20000 rooms (see appendix 3)

From the overall stock on look, we can see most of the group in 2010 to realize the rapid growth of the scale. Compared with 2009, the domestic group total hotel increased 369, guest room number increased by 70573 rooms, the room quantity growth rate is 19.8%; the average group had guest...
