Cats versus Dogs
Cats and dogs are equally popular as house hold pets in the United States. Many families feel their pets are the same as members of the family. There are many things cats and dogs have in common for instance cats and dogs have four legs and paws and are furry animals also share
whiskers for sense of direction, and when they have puppies and kittens it is usually called a
litter. Both require immunization shots, licenses and they can both be neutered. Although cats
and dogs are similar domestic animals, they vary in personality, how you care for them, and the
cost for owning them.
Personalities are very different in cats and dogs as are looks, attitudes, and the way they show love towards people. Dogs are generally larger than cats. Dogs bark and cats meow. Dogs are generally more affectionate than cats. They tilt their heads like they understand what you are saying to them. Man’s best friend is very happy when you come home and will meet you at the door wagging his tail and will protect, comfort and love you till the day he dies. Cats are more independent and they come and go around the house as they please. Felines ignore you when you talk to them. The sneaky little creatures usually are not around when you get home and then give you affection when they feel like they want to. Loving dogs can be easier than loving cats. Canines come to you when you call them and always wag their tails to
let you know how happy you make them. You can bring a dog for a walk and play with them at
the park. Loving cats can be more difficult. Sometimes you cannot find them around the house.
Cats will sit on your lap and purr and keep you company. People have less interaction with their
cats than with their dogs.
Dogs require more care than cats. Dogs need to be brought outside to go to the bathroom and
