I read two biographies articles about Presidents. George Washington and Abraham Lincoln and I learned of their similarities and difference. Abraham Lincoln and George Washington are similar but different. Both men were born in the month of February and both were Presidents of the United States.


George Washington was the farther of our country. He was the first President of the United States. He was born February 22nd 1732 in Westmoreland County, Virginia. On April 30th 1789 George Washington took oath in New York on Wall Street to become our first President of the United States. As a young man he had little schooling, he taught him self many Skills. Before becoming President he led the troops in to fight against the British. As a young Man he became a soldier and fought for the British in the French and Indian War. He was Commander in chief of the Continental Army during the American Revolution. George Washington was in term for President wa 1789-1797. As a popular war hero, he was the logical Choice to become president in 1789. He was elected four years later. As the first president George Washington set an example for later presidents. Today we do honor him as a great Leader for a brand new country. Some of his career’s were surveyor, farmer, politician and a COMPARE AND CONTRAST 4
