Community Based Problem

I- Background of the Case
The legal definition of waste in the UK is derived from the EU Waste Framework Directive. In basic terms a waste is anything which you decide to, or are required to, throw away. Even if the substance or article is given to someone else to be reused or recycled, it is still legally considered to be waste if it is no longer required by the person who produced it.

Waste is generated universally and is a direct consequence of all human activities. Wastes are generally classified into solid, liquid and gaseous. Gaseous waste is normally vented to the atmosphere, either with or without treatment depending on composition and the specific regulations of the country involved. Liquid wastes are commonly discharged into sewers or rivers, which in many countries is subject to legislation governing treatment before discharge. Historically, the amount of waste generated by humans was insignificant due to low population density and natural resources. Common waste produced during early human history was mainly ashes and human biodegradable waste, and these were released back into the ground locally, with minimum environmental impact. This uncontrollable problem is due to stubbornness of the people in the world. II-The Problem

1. What is the problem?

The problem is the improper waste disposal in Butuan City. It is the problem wherein the garbage are not placed and manage well by the society. That problem could cause big problem in the society. Such as flashflood that can harm everybody and can also be a cause of death.

2. What interventions done to address the problem?
