This paper will discuss the efficiencies and effectiveness of using holographic imaging in the medical field. The advantages and disadvantages of holographic imagining from the point of view of patients, healthcare providers, and the financial impact on healthcare providers. How new forms of video transmissions using holograms may benefit patients in the near future. Additionally, make recommendations to healthcare providers, and patients on limiting or lowering the costs of holographic imagining hardware, and software equipments. Holographic imagining is not a new technology. Various industries around the world have used holographic imagining for a number of years now, but the health industry has been slow to adapt holographic imagining for various reasons. The primary reason the health industry has been slow to adapt to holographic imagining for the purpose of providing healthcare services to patients has been costs. In the past, the only way to acquire holographic imagining technology was by purchasing very expensive and delicate equipment, equipment that only seem to serve a selected group of businesses. In the past, holographic imagining was not designed for the medical field, and development has been slow because of the size of such equipment, and was not adequate for implementation in a small clinic or a hospital. Maintaining such technology in the past was not cost effective for Doctor-patient purposes. Besides holographic imagining equipment is not easy to maintain, most clinics, hospitals, and patients could not incur such an elaborate system as costs can easily be in the thousands of dollars a year, but with the increase in holographic imagining technology breakthroughs available by a growing industry, holographic technology is now available to healthcare providers at a manageable cost. “However, recent improvements...
