I have had many occasions had a miscommunication with someone close to me. Miscommunication is a constant problem because we are still getting to know one another. Miscommunication is a problem among many couples. If couples knew the secret behind avoiding miscommunication, miscommunication can diminish dramatically for couples giving them a much more pleasant relationship. When being honest with the one you love and clear in how you communicate you can create a positive relationship with few miscommunications.
U.S. News & World Report 1 states that from a study wives hint or beat around the bush when communicating with their husbands. Husbands misunderstand sometimes because they are preoccupied and cannot take the perspective of their wife. With this said miscommunication goes wrong with couples from the lack of words. I have sometimes said something and hinted something, and there was a miscommunication because I was not up front and clear to my fiancé. Why do I think he needs to already know this secret cue word or phrase to understand something I am trying to get across to him? He should not know this because I should just be up front and honest with him to avoid any miscommunication between us. He will not feel as if he has to work hard to be psychic by reading my vague word or phrases, and I will not be mad or upset when he does not understand what I am saying. There will be no pose of a threat or argument on anyone being vague or anyone not understanding. Instead of telling my fiancé I am cold so he can turn off the air, I can just ask him to turn off the air because I am cold. I am asking him to do something and telling him why so he has a full understanding of what I am saying meaning there is no miscommunications between us.
