Our country has gone thru many Presidents since we were born, and some have accomplished things that truly benefited the American people, and others have set us back. Since I was old enough to understand politics and who has served as President, George W. Bush and Barack Obama have run this country. President Obama made quite a few promises to the American people before he was elected, along with George W. Bush, which never was followed thru with. They have both done very positive things for us as well, but the question is, who has done a better job!
President Barack Obama was born in Hawaii on August 4, 1961. After working his way through college with student loans and scholarships, he moved to Chicago. Following this he went to law school, and became the first African-American president of the Harvard Law Review. After he graduated from Harvard University he went back to Chicago to help run a voter registration drive, taught constitutional law at the University of Chicago. Once Obama became a part of the Illinois State Senate, he passed the first major ethics reform since about 25 years ago, expanded health care for families, and cut taxes for the working society. After doing numerous things as a senator, he was elected the 44th President of the United States on November 4, 2008, and was sworn in on January 20th, 2009.
From the time President Obama was elected, he has had huge record of policy accomplishments. First the economic stimulus package, which brought the financial system back from having a complete collapse. Followed by rescuing two automakers, universal health care, sweeping reform of financial regulation, and major changes in student loans, among many others.
