1. What observations did the paramedics make? The paramedics observed there were empty wine bottles surrounding the hot tub. Kavita one paramedic experienced the physical hotness of the water temperature of the hot tub by stating “This water seems really hot.” The paramedics also observed that both bodies of the Underhills were on the bottom of the hot tub upon arrival to the scene. I think that with Mr. Underhill being on lasix, under stress from his work, and under the influence of alcohol while in extreme heat of the hot tub led to his demise. 4. How might these physiological eﬀects have contributed to the Underhills’ death? Lasix is a prescription medication that is prescribed for either Blood Pressure or Heart Disease. The way lasix works is lasix helps the body to remove this excess fluid. Removing fluid from the blood vessels also decreases the pressure within the blood vessels. This makes it easier for a weak heart to pump blood around the body. Lasix is therefore used to relieve the symptoms of heart failure. Lasix is generally prescribed to people to be taken once a day in the morning or twice a day in morning and afternoon.
