College Admissions Essay
Since Kindergarten, I have always aspired to become a doctor and that is something I have never thought of changing my mind about. More specifically, I believe I would love to be a pediatrician because I enjoy working with children and helping take care of others. Even more so, I would have the ability to travel and help children globally some day. Being able to help children in any area of the world would be a great opportunity and very fulfilling. In addition, I know I will like the new experiences this career can bring to me every day and just knowing I have helped save a life would make me happy.
I have various personal strengths that I think will help me reach my goal of becoming a doctor. I believe I have a great sense of responsibility, compassion, good judgment, communication skills, humility, and a positive attitude. I know I will show great dedication to do what is needed and be the person to keep going by taking the extra mile for the sake of any patient. I’m known to help comfort and counsel others when they aren’t feeling their best which I know is a great quality to have when aspiring to be a doctor. Although I have many strengths I am able to recognize that I have weaknesses too and will makes errors or be unsure about something so I will always be humble enough to ask others for help when needed. These characteristics will help me get through college to become an excellent doctor. My goal has consistently been to go to college and I never plan to back down from that idea. Furthermore, I have made many plans as to how I will get into college. I am taking the tests, SAT and ACT, needed to apply to these colleges. While still in high school, I have been taking courses that will give me a head start on what I need to know for college.
