This study includes:

• Facilities: what are common characteristics of the library facilities in each unit? How do these compare on an institutional basis?

• Services: what services are commonly offered? In what ways are Collection (Reference, User Education, Circulation, ILL) etc. provided? Are there opportunities for inter-institutional cooperation in services?

• Technology: what forms of technology are libraries currently employing? (Examples: online catalogs, automated circulation software, Web guides, etc.) Can common interfaces be used for inter-institutional resource-sharing?

• Challenges: What are common challenges for libraries in each unit? (Examples: Financial support (budgets), Personnel (staffing), literacy, the AFP Librarians and library profession’s image, etc.) Can common challenges, when examined on institutional level, be turned into opportunities?
