The Cold War Era
The cold war era was a depression period of time for the American families. The Soviets sent the first satellite, sputnik, into space in 1957 using soviet superiority in the space as a crude threat against the American people due to lack of understanding and constant provoking between the democrats and the communist (David, 1994). The historical and political conditions of the cold war era were that the American Truman Doctrine of Containment was meant to keep a lid on soviet military adventurism spank a third world war and a nuclear exchange.
On the other hand, the United States shares their fears of living under direct nuclear threat and waited in horror (David, 1994). The causes of the cold war era were ideological, economic, and political differences between the United States and the Soviet Union; the United States and Soviet Union represent two viewpoint arguments systems of government.
However, In the United States government the government is elected by free elections parties are form to voice political opinions and the right to speech, assembly, and press however in the Soviet Union it’s the complete opposite their government is formed by the communists party being that these two systems are opposite ends to one another do to that there can’t be compromise between the two systems (David, 1994).
When it comes into making preparations to protect my family I’ll make sure we have gas masks, food, flashlights, batteries, first-aid kit, bottled water and even leaving the area before the attempt of any destruction into a safer environment with shelter to hide.
