Cockatiels
Cockatiels are native to Australia. They are a well known and loved bird. Many bird lovers own cockatiels due to their high intelligence and ability to speak. They are sturdy and friendly birds which require little attention. Although, they tend to get all of the attention due to their charming personality.

Many owners have trained their bird in ways of tricks and games. Cockatiels have the ability to remember actions and relate them to commands. If an owner were to wave his hand and train the bird to poop on command, it will. By rewarding them with treats, it influences positive behaviour, raising a happy healthy bird.

Cockatiels love to whistle and sing. They can learn many words and phrases and even whistle tunes. Male cockatiels learn to imitate quickly, while most females cannot. If a bird is discontent, it will begin to screech and call out to other birds.

Cockatiels screech because they prefer to be in flocks. Once a bird becomes attached to another, it usually forgets their owner. Cockatiels can make friends with all sorts of birds such as budgies. If their mate were to die, there is a possibility that the bird can suffer from depression.

These are the many symptoms of "mate-loss" Some birds tend to pass away shortly after the loss of their friend. They appear sick and ill only when it is too late. These symptoms include: puffy swollen eyes, snot from nasal cavities, loss of feathers and weight, laboured breathing, loss of appetite and withdrawn personality. If any of these symptoms were to occur, it is advised to seek medical attention.

Through your life, cockatiels prove to be a faithful companion. Just like a dog, they are friendly and intelligent. They are your friend and your little companion. You should treat your bird well as they are easy to take care of.

Evidently, chickadees produce more intense “chick-a-dee” alarm call for smaller predators than larger predators. We could explore why natural selection favor this signaling behavior because producing longer D notes tend to caught more attention from the predators as well as increase the level of exposure under threat. In this way, we can understand how chickadees balance benefit and risk ratio between recruiting other birds for help while increasing their conspicuousness and exposure…

Figure 2. The proportion of time the cockatiels spent performing each set of behaviours under control (a), horizontal (b) and vertical (c) conditions. Although a large amount of time was spent perching, it can be seen here that preening was a dominant behaviour during the control conditions for the cockatiels. This is seen to reduce as the perch arrangement changes.…

One of the ways that the producers made the film fun and easy for all ages to understand, was they used little, fuzzy, blue birds to act out the story. The bird’s actions and expressions made it easy to understand that they were not very nice. The ending revealed the true intentions of the film. It describes very clearly how bullying happens and what the consequences are. The consequences of the birds were that they all got flung off the wire and lost all of their feathers, because of their actions toward the friendly bird that they did not like.…

This quote I think is not really talking about a "home" in line 2, but more a social circle, or acceptance into a culture. Now that I have been in the US for 13 years, I do socially fit in with my peers, we dress the same, and I have lost my "accent that gave me away" years ago, so we speak the same. I guess when the author speaks of "bleached their feathers white and try to pass off as doves" Feathers really stands for things like clothing, values, and norms.…
